The meeting was attended by Rahul Dravid, Rohit Sharma, Chetan Sharma, and VVS Laxman, who collaborated for nearly four hours in a city hotel in Mumbai before making key judgments, including prioritizing bilateral and international cricket. The event was attended by BCCI president Roger Binny via video conferencing.

“It was a very constructive and successful meeting, during which we reviewed the past performance as well as planned for future events such as the World Cup and the World Test Championship (WTC).” “We will give precedence to international cricket while ensuring that the IPL is not diluted.” A BCCI source who attended said.”

The BCCI meeting saw a robust discussion on how to ensure that players are ready for the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2023, including how best to manage workloads and maintain fitness. A roadmap was outlined with measures put into place so that excellence can be achieved by the Indian team at this international showcase event.

The BCCI recently announced that the National Cricket Academy (NCA) will work closely with IPL Franchisees to ensure Indian players participating in 2023’s IPL edition are well-prepared and fit.

The Yo-Yo test has been established as a top criterion for selection, while Dexa will be incorporated into individualized fitness plans of select stars at the central pool level. Quality performance begins with quality preparation – no stone is being left unturned when it comes to making sure India can deliver its best game on the pitch!

What is YOYO Test?

The yoyo test in cricket is a great way to improve your hand-eye coordination and batting skills.

Cricket proves to be a thrilling game with constant movement during batting, fielding, and bowling. With such intense action on the field, players need sufficient rest in between activities which is why they must pass the Yo-Yo Test – proving their stamina off-court!
Shuttles are at its core: Two cones 20 meters apart acting as markers for running back and forth like a yo-yo over 8 minutes 30 seconds or less for nonfast bowlers. It’s no wonder cricket stars have enough endurance to take them all nine innings!

Athletes around the globe look to tame the legendary Yo-Yo test, a physically challenging and grueling endurance exercise created in the 1990s by Danish soccer physiologist Jens Bangsbo. This 20 meter sprint is conducted at increasing speeds until exhaustion finally sets in – an unforgettable battle of man versus machine!

The fact that high-stakes discussions took place on the very first day of 2021 spoke volumes about how seriously Team India is taking this year’s World Cup, especially after falling short in last year’s Asia Cup and Twenty20 World Cups. With a 10-wicket defeat to England in Australia still fresh in their minds, the leadership wants to ensure history doesn’t repeat itself as they prepare for what could be a decisive tournament hosted by none other than India.

The BCCI and IPL franchises are working together to ensure the welfare of Indian players in the 2023 edition of IPL, creating a unique system that effectively controls their participation. Specifically, NOCs for bowlers will be provided with certain conditions attached – like those used by other boards-to safeguard them from excessive wear & tear due to rigorous travel schedules within India’s premier cricket league.
