Yuzvendra Chahal overtook Dwayne Bravo (183) from Chennai Super Kings when he dismissed KKR skipper Nitish Rana on the second delivery of the eleventh over. He now became the highest wicket taker in IPL history. The leg spinner seems to be on fire!

Yuzvendra Chahal overtook former Chennai Super Kings player Dwayne Bravo’s record of 183 wickets by dismissing KKR skipper Nitish Rana in the 11th over’s second delivery. He furthered his tally by taking the wickets of a well-set Venkatesh Iyer (57) and Shardul Thakur in the 17th over.

“I could never have imagined reaching such heights when I joined MI in the IPL. It’s simply due to the unwavering support of my family and friends that I’ve made it this far. Their continuous encouragement has meant the world to me,” Chahal mentioned during the mid-innings break.

Chahal was keen to keep the ball away from the batters since the pitch was slow and maneuvering the ball wasn’t easy. He expressed his desire to win and hoped that the batters would chase the runs down. “On this ground, I didn’t want to give easy boundaries,” said the confident bowler during the mid-innings break.
