As F1 2023 comes back to Circuit Gilles Villeneuve along the St. Lawrence river in Montreal, all eyes are on Max Verstappen who is determined to achieve more success this season.
With four 1-2 finishes this season, Red Bull has emerged victorious in every race, establishing a considerable lead in both championships.
Max Verstappen, from Red Bull Racing, clinched his third consecutive victory by winning the Spanish Grand Prix. This achievement increased his championship lead to 52 points ahead of his teammate, Sergio Perez.
Mercedes ended their season on a high note, securing a double podium and reigniting hopes of clinching second place in the constructor standings. Though it remains unclear whether they have the strength to challenge Red Bull down the line, this latest victory is an encouraging sign of things to come.
Red Bull has maintained an unbeaten winning streak of seven consecutive races in the constructors championship, having secured five victories through Verstappen’s superb driving skills, with Sergio Pérez’s exceptional talents accounting for the other two.
When is the next F1 Race?
The Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal revs up its engines for the eighth round of the 2023 Formula One season – the Canadian Grand Prix! Mark your calendars for a fantastic race weekend from Friday, June 16, to Sunday, June 18.
Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher share the record for the most victories at seven each. In the previous year, Verstappen snatched pole position in a rain-soaked qualifying and triumphed in the race.
Max Verstappen showed his prowess in the wet conditions in Barcelona during this year’s latest race and it seems like his competitors will have their work cut out for them yet again in Québec. Let’s see if he can continue to shine and maintain his lead in the championship standings.

Where and when will the six sprint races be this year?
F1 2023 has unveiled the six sprint venues for 2023. Azerbaijan, Belgium, the Austin race (USA), Qatar, Austria, and Brazil get to join the action-packed mix. Get ready for some exhilarating F1 races!
This year, the format has undergone a significant change. The sprint has become a near stand-alone event on Saturday, albeit with championship points.
Before, the sprint grid for Saturday was determined through Friday’s qualifiers, with the sprint race setting Sunday’s grid.

Drivers ranked one through eight in a sprint race earn points, with eight going to the victor and one for the driver at spot eight. Sprint races run for approximately 100km, or about a third of a grand prix distance.
